WHS FSL and Mental Health Services

We are so pleased and would like to extend a very warm WHS welcome back to Katelyn Ward, our FSL counselor!

Katelyn will be in our school, working with students Tuesdays.  We look forward to having Katelyn back as part of our WHS family helping our students realize their potential where our mantra “Inspiring Success …Every way, Every day.” comes alive.

In addition to Katelyn and FSL, WHS also is very fortunate to have in the building two other resources available to our students.

WOW – Wainwright on Wellness, Mental Health facilitator Sydney Swan, Sydney works with classrooms developing our student’s inner self esteem and personal responsibilities. Sydney is at WHS three days a week, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Sydney also runs an afterschool Comando Zone program that allows students to participate in games and activities.

WHS is also extremely fortunate to be able to provide an in-school Mental Health Professional,  Robyn Anderson, who is available to our students every Thursday.

Our students have access to a talented multi-faceted support team of caring counselors that complement and work with our fantastic teachers and caring supportive staff.  Should any parent wish to access any of these services for their child, please contact in person or by email, Mr. Saretsky, Mr. Stromberg, Mrs. Grunow, Mrs. Grosky or the Office at 780-842-4481.

Here at WHS, we live the BTPS mission statement, “Buffalo Trail Public Schools is committed to maximizing student learning, in a safe and caring environment, supported by a highly effective team.”
