Pearl-Ann Gooding

I love my work at WHS and have been here for 25 years! My passion outside of school, besides my wonderful family, are storytelling, quilting and gardening! Storytelling has taken me all over the world and I was thrilled to be the Canadian Ambassador at the Federation of European Story Tellers in Greece a few years back.
I have quilts that I have made for storytelling raffles that have brought in over $50,000 over the last 20 years for Storytellers of Canada and I have a block that I made to represent Alberta that will go on an international quilt to represent 'family' that will be on display at Temple Square for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints in 2026, in Salt Lake City, Utah. My yard is considered an 'edible yard' as more than 60% of it is edible with multiple gardens and a variety of fruit bearing trees and bushes. Gardening is my happy zone.
We have opened our home for the last few years to Ukrainian refugees and have loved doing what we can to ease the pain of displacement due to war. I have learned that we can all do something to help, even in the far reaches of the Canadian west! My husband and two mini dacshunds are my anchors at home and our three children with their families fill our lives with abundance. All in all I am very blessed and am thrilled to be part of the WHS family!
