Travis Hartl

I have been teaching at Wainwright High School since 2008, primarily in senior high Social Studies and Art. Over the years, I’ve taught most grade levels in these subjects and love sharing my passion for history, culture, and creativity with students.

Originally from Viking, AB, I graduated from the University of Alberta with an Education degree, majoring in Art and minoring in Social Studies. My family and I lived in Viking until 2017, when we made Wainwright our home.

Outside of teaching, I’m a big fan of sci-fi and fantasy, and when it comes to music, I have a soft spot for 1980s hair metal. I’m also working on learning guitar—so if you hear some classic rock riffs, it might just be me practicing!
